Talk about sticky rice and glutinous rice comes into mind. While Chinese legend had mentioned its existence nearly a thousand years ahead of a Laotian legend,some geneticists were of the opinion that glutinous rice originated from southeast Asia and had migrated north to China. Not sure which versions to believe but a rice dish made from glutinous rice called Chinese sticky rice 糯米飯 must be Chinese in origin for why else would it have Chinese in its name. Had the dish for lunch and would have it for dinner too had not my nephew who ordered so many goodies from a restaurant in town...
Guess which was for lunch?
