Spotted a row of hampers in the shopping mall. It was near Christmas then but Chinese New Year hampers were already on sale. Chinese New Year falls on 22 January this year, very near to Christmas; and many malls and stores have put up both Christmas and Chinese New Year decorations since early December. A shopping mall in Sabah was in the limelight the other day when it did this and some complained that the decor was more Chinese New year than Christmas. Can't remember seeing any Christmas decoration in the shopping mall I went to; perhaps there were some in the lobby in the upper floor. Have not given much thought to that then. Just wonder when people start to give hampers to friends or relatives during Chinese New Year...
