Everything Everywhere All at Once undeniably was a big hit. Grossing over slightly a hundred million dollars against a budget of $25 million, the 2022 American film was labelled an absurdist comedy-drama. That it was absurdist probably doesn't go well with some people but it's interesting to note that it's a comeback movie for former child star Ke Huy Quan 关继威 who first shot to fame in 1984 in an Indiana Jones film. Ke Huy Quan who is Vietnamese-American of Han Chinese ancestry, specifically from the Chinese Hoa minority from Vietnam; has acted not just in American movies but also Hong Kong, Taiwanese and Japanese movies. Later, as an adult; he quit acting after finding it difficult to find acting jobs in the United States. He was inspired to make a comeback by the success of Crazy Rich Asians, noting that there is a surge in Asian-American representation in Hollywood.
