The Next Big Chinese Festival

Hungry Ghost Festival isn't quite over yet; though a grand prayer had been held the other day. Nevertheless, the next big Chinese  Festival is in the air! Though haven't been out to the shopping malls for weeks, I suspect  mooncakes are already on sale there. Mau Wei called the other day, asking if I was free to go out for lunch. I was  but lunch was out of the question since I was also staying home because of the pandemic. Thought that was the end of the story but later in the afternoon, she called again. She was at the gate just to hand me her gift of mooncakes. It is a norm for gifting friends or relatives, even acquantances; mooncakes during Mooncake Festival. Most certainly, a norm too,to feel pleased  with the kind gesture.
