In the hit South Korean TV series, The Squid Game; the role of a migrant worker from Pakistan played by an Indian actor Anupam Tripathi came as a pleasant surprise. It is rare to see an Indian face in a Far Eastern production just like it is hard to see a Korean, Chinese or Japanese in an Indian production; so, it probably is just as pleasant a surprise to see a Chinese in a Bollywood movie. I probably have read somewhere that Jackie Chan has been invited to star in a Bollywood production but then there is another lesser known Chinese man who is identified as an Indian actor rather than Chinese even though he has a Chinese name and pure Chinese blood. Meiyang Chang 张眉阳 gained attention in India as a contestant on the third season of the singing reality show Indian Idol in 2006 and had later appeared in several prominent Bollywood films. The actor has roots in China's Hubei province and is is a third generation Indian-Chinese.
