It has never occur to me that while Chinese celebrate many kind of festivals, they probably don't celebrate Father's Day, at least not in ancient time. Father's Day which is a day to specially honour fatherhood and paternal bonds is a very western thing, I suppose; the day being celebrated by Catholics on 19 March as Saint Joseph's Day since the Middle Ages. Chinese all over the world irrespective of their religions or ideologies however, celebrate the occassion; in Communist China where we thought there is no freedom, Father's Day falls on the third Sunday of June.
