Bamboo Weaving

Bamboo weaving isn't something new. In China, it has a terribly long history; bamboo woven articles from the Neolithic Age have been unearthed in the Hemudu Ruin in Yuyao City and the Yanliangchu Ruin of Zhejiang Province. The articles are up to 7000 years old and all these while, I just heard of people saying that Chinese civilization is 5000 years old when it could be older and would continue to become older. There are over 200 bamboo woven articles unearthed and it was reported that skilled weaving techniques were used. So, I suppose the techniques used today most probably would be better and the artifacts weaved would not be just fans, hats, baskets or mats or other simple objects.

Now, just watch what could be weaved out of bamboo...
