Animated Treats

I'm sure I've read an English version of this story but this animated version of Grandmother treats my classmates to some chocolates looks like it has its origin in Taiwan. The languages used here include both Mandarin and Taiwanese Hokkien; the latter being a variety of the Hokkien language spoken by about 70 % of the people in Taiwan. Then, of course the artwork reminds of another Taiwanese animated work said to be a hit in the Net many years ago which features a boy by the name Ah Gui 阿贵 and his family and friends. Taiwanese animation can however be traced further back to 1954 to a black-and-white animated version of Wu Song Fights the Tiger 武松打虎 by the Kuei Brothers.

Now, just enjoy Grandmother treats my classmates to some chocolates, won't you?
