While surfing the Net, I came across a headline, Latest Covid -19 updates, which started in Wuhan. Thought that a rather odd heading. Maybe there ought to be headlines of this nature before like : Silk: Latest news and updates, which was invented in China or Printing News, which started in China or Compass News, first invented in China and many more. It reminds me of long ago when I came across a report in the local paper on a national singing competition participated by various races. The champion and runner-up were of different races and the former had won by a narrow margin. The writer obviously was delighted and wrote that it was a great thing that the champion managed to keep the title within their people and prevent it to be wrested by someone from another race. I had thought then and still think that a journalist ought to report objectively.
