Vesak morn and here I'm reading about how young 70-year-old American fashion designer, Vera Ellen Wang looks. I do think she's too thin though but her life no doubt, could leave most people gasping in awe. Designer of evening gowns for such people like Michelle Obama and wedding gowns for Ivanka Trump, Chelsea Clinton, Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey, Victoria Beckham and a long list of many other celebrities, her family background seems like torn from a page of an adventure novel itself.
Born and bred in New York, Vera Wang's parents migrated from China to the United States in the mid-1940s. Her mother was a translator for the United Nations; father, owner of a medicine company and a graduate of Yanjing University and MIT and maternal grandfather, a warlord who was killed by the Empire of Japan... I was just wondering how many people have warlords as grandfather; not to mention being killed by an empire!
