Just now, someone posted that in the more than 5000 years of Chinese history, this is the first time that during Cheng Beng, the Chinese do not go out to clean the graves of their ancestors and offer their offerings there. Elsewhere, people posted pictures of the praying being done at home and one even had it done there, in front of a laptop bearing a visual of the tomb of the ancestor. I don't know if the latter was done for laugh but the present covid-19 pandemic is certainly no laughing matter. In China, someone said the government there had requested that Cheng Beng there be carried at home and the government would do the sweeping the tombs on their behalf and place flowers there even. With such a big population, that sounds like near impossible. Then of course, I suppose it's a caring, people friendly government who would do that; something people in the world could do with.
