Chinese New Year is just around the corner. Business premises; supermarkets, shopping malls and the likes have turned red with Chinese New Year decorations; Chinese traditionally like red as it's an auspicious colour, bringing luck; besides, being the colour that scared off the beast Nian which according to Chinese mythology, created much havoc when it made its appearance each year; eating man and children even. I enjoy strolling the shopping malls during such time and here, guess when was the shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur spruced up for Chinese New Year; 2016, 2017 or 2018? Tip: It was the year of the rooster!
