A Chinese Movie: Ip Man 4: The Finale

The Wilson Yip directed Chinese martial arts film Ip Man 4: The Finale, I think,  starts with a rather sombre note. Fans know that Ip Man, loses his wife Cheung Wing-sing to cancer in the third film. In the latest and most probably last installment of the Ip Man series, we know from the very beginning that we'd most probably lose our hero to cancer too; when Ip Man, again played by Donnie Yen, is diagnosed with throat cancer and is advised by the doctor to stop smoking. To add to that, his son, Ip Ching is having trouble in school. Ip Man then has to travel to San Francisco, America to scout for a school for his son and in the process, gets involved with the problems there including the one caused by his student, Bruce Lee; so, expect to see a fine portrayal of the legendary star by Danny Chan Kwok-kwan who once played the role of a goalkeeper and the Axe Gang boss in Stephen Chow's movies, Shaolin Soccer and Kung Fu Hustle. The movie has good fighting scenes, great acting by the main actors and family drama; the best of all the Ip Man films; a grand finale.
