While visiting Taiping old Clock Tower in town, I came across an old record featuring Hong Kong star Agnes Chan Meiling 陈美龄. I remember she was a star of the 70s, very popular then, singing cover versions of English songs like Circle Game, Mother of Mine, Day is Done and many more. Someone I know was crazy about her and when he sang her songs, he would try to mimic her voice which is described to be clear and sweet. Agnes also sings in Mandarin, Cantonese and Japanese. I remember specifically her Mandarin song 燕飞翔 Swallows Fly which is the theme song of a movie. That, I think was a Taiwanese movie.
