A Chinese Song: Friends 朋友

Nevermind that there were big scale  protests in Hong Kong against the government by supposedly prodemocracy young people wearing masks - When Alan Tam Wing-lun attended a gathering supporting the police, some protesters angrily broke his CDs and announced that they would never listen to his songs anymore.  The incident probably casts doubts on the characters of the protesters and  their brand of freedom but back to Alan Tam, the Cantopop superstar who won a Golden Horse Awards for Best Actor in 1981 for the Taiwanese movie If I Were for Real has many beautiful songs under his belt. I like his Cantonese number 朋友 Friends just like I enjoy Emil Chau's Mandarin number of the same name.

And here's Alan Tam belting out a Cantonese number with Teresa Teng!
