Hong Kong heartthrob, Tony Leung Chiu-Wai who starred with the late Leslie Cheung in a 1997 Wong Kar-wai's movie, Happy Together that depicts a turbulent romance between two men is the only Asian who sets Western mens' heart on fire. According to American gay magazine, Out, he is the only Asian among a list of international celebrities that gays would love to be with if they cheat on their lovers. Others in the list are Brad Pitt, David Beckham, Ryan Reynolds, Zac Efron, Jake Gyllenhaal, Ricky Martin, James Franco, Keanu Reeves and Cristiano Ronaldo. That Tony Leung is the only Asian in the list is understandable. Leslie Cheung has long passed away after taking a leap from the 24th floor of the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Hong Kong and probably, people do not crave dead men. Lust Caution, Ang Lee's 2007 Chinese espionage thriller had Tony Leung engaged in explicit steamy scenes, probably attracted viewers. Then of course, Out's readers have not seen other gorgeous Asian men such as Ming Dao, Huang XiaoMing, Peter Ho and Ruang Jin Tian, who often appear in idol dramas in Taiwan. Idol dramas, incidently are romantic dramas very popular in Asia started by Meteor Garden, the drama series that launch the careers of Jerry Yan, Vanness Wu, Ken Chu, and Vic Chou of the famed Taiwanese boy band, F4 (inset).
