CNY Flashback: Chinese New Year Cards
I remember those days when we used to send Chinese New Year cards to friends and relatives. People still do that these days but not so extensively that the postmen had their hands full. Those days, especially in the 70s , I remember the newspapers would carry news on the mountains of pink-enveloped Chinese New Year card in the post office that had to be cleared before the big day come. With the advent of the Internet and easy to send e-cards which come with animation and music which one can also edit to personalise it, the Chinese New Year cards may perhaps be soon a thing of the past. This year, I received two Chinese New Year cards (inset). Wishing you a happy and prosperous belated Chinese New Year!
