The Invisble Man

British soldiers in India in the nineteenth centuries dyed their uniforms to a muddy tan called khaki for no other reason than to camouflage themselves from enemies. Prior to that, uniforms were mostly in bright and bold colours to daunt the enemy, attract recruits, foster unit cohesion, or allow easier identification of units in the fog. 35-year-old Liu Bolin, from Shandong, China, however, camouflages himself for another reason. Touted the invisible man, Liu Bolin spends up to 10 hours to camouflage himself and this, he reportedly does to protest against the actions of the authorities who shut down his art studio in 2005 and persecutes artists. I suppose with his artful way of protest, he stands to be persecuted in no time at all; that is if indeed artists are being persecuted inChina! Just enjoy him then while we can...

Meet the Invisible man, Liu Bolin of China...

I would like to be invisible from time to time. So that the cats and others do not see me...
