Getting Ready For Chinese New Year

Just the other day, it was reported that the train service in China was disrupted by the worst snow and ice storms in decades. When the service returned to normal, some passengers purportedly sobbed. I was not at all surprised by the news because it was one of those days when Chinese rushed back to be at home with their families and loved one . The year of the rat is coming and every Chinese is rushing back to have a reunion dinner. Back home, preparations would be almost complete. Mothers would have already spruced up the homes, dressing it up with lanterns and decorative plants like kumquat and getting the food ready for both the Gods and man! In Malaysia, a trend of giving hampers to family members and friends had been going on for sometime and on New Year Eve, everywhere in the world, Chinese should have a grand dinner. At midnight, there would be a prayer session and Chinese God would be going back to Heaven to report on any wrongdoing! So, be careful of what you are doing!
