Fei Yu-ching 费玉清 was wonderful! In his recent farewell concert in Genting Highlands , Malaysia, the sixty something held the stage for three hours, standing there, singing most of the time, chatting, cracking jokes and taking gulps of plain water in between. In his concert, he did not just sing his songs. At one point, he paid tribute to Yao Su Rong 姚蘇蓉, the song bird with a long string of hits in the 70s. Yao Su Rong had recorded well over 200 songs and Fei Yu-ching sang some, bringing back memories of those days when her high pitch powerful voice blared out from Dad's radio. I was just surprised that he did not sing her big, big hit, the song that catapulted her to fame 今天不回家 Today I Won't Come Home. He sang instead 因为我爱你 Because I Love You and some other songs.
