A Peep at a Chinese Garden

There is something interesting about hydroponics, the technique of growing plants in solutions containing the necessary macronutrients and micronutrients. It is said that hydroponic is not something new. Throughout history, many different civilizations utilised hydroponics techniques. The famed Hanging Garden of Babylon is said have used the techniques just like the Aztecs of Mexico and Chinese who incorporated it in their floating gardens. In Mexico city, there is the Xochimilco's Floating Gardens but I am not sure if there is an ancient floating garden in China but I do know that traditional Chinese gardens are rather exquisite and beautiful. There is one called Zhouzheng Yuan or Humble Administrator's Garden in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province in South China, originally built in 1509 during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). It started as a private garden of Wang Xianchen, a former government servant who had intended to do some gardening after retirement. The garden has since become one of the four most famous classical gardens in China and had been listed as a World Cultural Heritage site and also one of the Cultural Relics of National Importance under the Protection of the State as well as a Special Tourist Attraction of China.
And here's a peep at the garden...

I suppose Japanese and Chinese have many things in common. Many of these originate from the Chinese.
