Rudy Hartono , an Indonesian of Chinese descent whose Chinese name is Nio Hap Liang, excelled in badminton. He was the All England men’s singles champion from 1968 to 1974. He was runner up in 1975, losing to Svend Pri from Denmark but won again for the eighth time in 1976.
